The pavement is drenched by Westminster council's cleaning team. Washing the dregs of last night's carousal. Shopkeepers just beginning to open their shutters, the locals walking their dog, older ladies sitting by the benches talking about their family, people in suits rushing to work and finally me, walking out of the newsagent clenching the FT. The Blackberry beeps. I ignored it. It keeps on beeping and eventually I had to look at it:

I pressed the update button, look at the time, switch the phone to silent - no drama. Why no drama? Well, as far as I'm aware, the Brunette is everlasting 28. I've got a stack of 28th birthday cards in the drawer - no troubles.
