The story goes:
After a long tedious conference call regarding a property, Mr X found himself leaving the office heading towards HR Owen in Brompton Road, South Kensington. Now, Mr X is not a person that takes financial matters lightly especially when it comes to luxuries but today is slightly different. Walking into the dealership, he was greeted by Lucas and exchanged pleasantries. Mr X walked towards a red Ferrari, a 599 GTB Fiorano to be exact. He liked it. His reasoning tells him not to but everything in his body says yes. What's the point of overthinking about a purchase after all, he's been stopping himself for decades. Today was the final straw, the meeting was necessary but the tone of the discussion was not. With that, Lucas prepared the paperwork and the 599 is his. Unfortunately, there will be a 3 week delivery but Lucas was prepared to loan him a showroom model while it gets delivered. 1 hour later and walking out of the double doors Mr X knew everything will be fine...
The Ferrari 599 GTB was designed with several specific objectives in mind: to increase driving pleasure, to guarantee performance (courtesy of technology transfers from the F1 single-seaters), and to ensure comfort, ergonomics and safety. The new Ferrari 599 GTB sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 330 km/h. The car takes its name from the Fiorano circuit Ferrari uses to hone the performance of its track and road cars. 'GTB' stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta, after the most famous Ferrari berlinettas ever built, and '599' is the displacement of the V12 engine divided by 10.
