Fourfoursixsix's project required the refurbishment of a 185 sqm Grade II listed private residence on Holland Park Road, London. A complete renovation of the 1st floor allowed the provision of an additional bedroom whilst simultaneously increasing the bathroom spaces. The Architects reconfigured the circulation by proposing a lightweight, cantilevered stair of glass, steel and timber and repositioned it to a location more in keeping with the original building. By adopting a minimal approach, the interior design plays on a contrast between light and dark tones.
