Two graphic designers commisioned Turnbull Griffin Haesloop to create a house amongst the redwood trees in Sebastopol, California. The Architects have installed decks at both ends of the hous and paths that lead to the pool and the studio/garage at opposite ends. Although the main space is modest (1,700 sq/ft), it feels spacious due to an open floor plan. The clients’ wonderful art objects are housed in the long southern wall bookcase. The exterior facade is clad in cedar siding with a metal roof and the interior features a Douglas fir ceiling and decking, sheetrock walls and Ipe flooring.
