graffiti what?

Argggghhhh!!! Too many things to do and too little time. Don't get me wrong, I like travelling but I don't look forward to all the paperwork waiting for me when I get back. What am I doing to do?! I know, open a bottle of Spanish Rioja.

Since I'm still in my Spanish mood, I've decided to share with you this project for a youth centre designed by Spanish architects Mi5. The site is located in Rivas, on the outskirts of Madrid. The whole scheme was designed with Madrid’s youth in mind hence why the architects have used bright colours throughout the building as a reference to the colour spectrum of Madrid’s suburban culture, graffiti, and comic strips. The layout of the space encourages the youths to communicate and exchange ideas by having large open spaces with seating. At the corner of the building, the architects have decided to incorporate a star-shaped space as a representation of the bustling of activities within.

The day wasn't going very well from the start and to top it all off, I had a heated discussion with the Brunette. Awesome!!
